The average person is unenlightened when it comes to the certain anatomical facts when it comes to the human foot, however since this cadre of foot aficionados isn’t the average Joe, here’s something to chew on. The anatomical position of the big toe is aligned to the left by 15°, so when a big toe deviates from that angle, several issues can result. The first is the given result called the Morton’s Toe, which essentially means that second toe, next to the big toe, appears longer than the big toe. Some people love long toes, and find this to be a subgroup of foot fetishism paraphilia, whilst others it is considered hideous. As you may have noticed, I intentionally noted that the toe ‘appears longer’, not that the toe is actually longer; this condition is mostly due to the need for the toes to properly align, and if the toes can’t grow, the bones and cartilage shifts to function properly. This positioning can be hereditary, and / or developed through improper wear of footwear. Last tidbit, many moons ago, I read an interesting article, which I tried to locate once again, albeit unsuccessful, I did come across several scientific articles regarding the people who possess longer second toes. The assertions are that people with a particular combination of toe lengths, which I believe is a normal second toe on the left foot, and longer on the right, highly correlates to sexual prowess. It would be great if someone here knows to what I am referring, while helping to explain the possibility of finding a high correlation of something so very random. Thanks for reading my rant, and Happy Saturday fellow Foot Geeks.
